Presentation Options

So you'd like to host a living history presentation? Step 1: chose a character. Once you have a character in mind, look over our options below for presentations. These are basic presentation models that can be customized to any particular location and place. Have an idea that isn't listed? Let's talk.

If you are a West Virginia public school teacher the cost of presentation will be waived for your children. We will work with you to make sure all children can see the presentations. 

Meet and Greet: 1 hour  

Cost: $5 per child (includes coloring page)  

Age: 3-9 years old

10 minute picture book reading inspired by the character 

10 minute group question time 

10 minute game/15 min craft inspired by character 

30 minute individual meeting character   

Author presentation:  45 min presentation  

Cost: $5 per child attending (includes interactive worksheet and coloring page)  

Age: 10-Adult  

10 minute introduction to author (in character) 

10 minute reading from author’s work (in character) 

15 minute discussion of literary style/themes (in character) 

10 minutes for questions (out of character)   

Character presentation 45 minute presentation 

Cost: $5 per attendee (includes interactive worksheet and coloring page)  

Age: 10-Adult 

30 minute living history presentation of character’s life and work, including importance to modern life (in character)  

15 minute: questions (out of character)
